Mitchell Friedman, Room With A View VI, 1975

$0.00

Early Modern Abstract Monotype by Mitchell Friedman, 1975. Signed in Pencil.

In 1975, Gabor Peterdi introduced Friedman to monotypes, which produce a singular unique print by painting directly on a metal plate that is transferred while still wet to a piece of paper with a press. While abstract in this very early work, Friedman always liked to represent real space and really liked the blending one could achieve working in this format.

Friedman still continues to use monotypes with his more narrative and figurative-based work that began in the late 1980s to present day with an image the observer deciphers for themselves.
